Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long do treatments take to be completed?

A typical mosquito barrier treatment can be done in as little as 10 minutes, varying based on property size. This is, of course, after becoming familiar with your property. Our initial visit will take longer as we get the lay of the land, identify problem areas, and customize our treatment to fit your home’s needs.

  • How long do treatments last?

We trust in the tools that we use to get the job done. The manufacturer’s data has shown that our product is effective for the full duration of your recommended treatment schedule.

  • Does anyone need to be home when the treatments are done?

Nope! If your pets are locked safely inside of the house and we have a way to get in (gate etc.) we can get the job done. A small lawn sign will be left on the front of your property (or marked with the date of that day's treatment) to indicate that we serviced you while you were out.

  • Are the treatments effective against flies and other pests?

Yes, our product is effective against a long list of annoyances aside from mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, and spotted lanternflies; however, our treatments and strategies are designed to control these specific pests, and we cannot guarantee any results regarding others.

  • What products are used and are they safe?

Our product is a combination of pyrethroid, synergist, and insect growth regulators (IGRs). It is safe for humans and pets once it dries and has no effect on plants. It is, however, hazardous to fish and thus ponds and the like are always avoided by our technicians.

  • What if it rains?

We cannot service your property in the rain — in those cases we’ll have to reschedule. In situations where it may rain after an application has been done, as long as our product has time to dry (30+ minutes depending on conditions) it will not be affected by rainfall.

  • Do treatments affect honeybees and other pollinators?

We take the protection of honeybees and other pollinators seriously. Our technicians are trained to avoid all flowering plants, shrubs, and anything else that could harm pollinators if sprayed.

  • How long do I have to stay indoors after a treatment is done?

The product just needs time to dry, which can take around 30 minutes depending on the conditions of the given day. After that, it is safe to go back to enjoying your outdoor space!

  • Will the treatment affect my pool?

No, but our technicians will avoid swimming pools when spraying regardless.

  • Will the product stain my deck or patio?

The product should not stain or cause damage to painted or varnished surfaces, plastics, fabrics, or other surfaces where water applied alone causes no damage.

  • Do you service commercial accounts?

Yes! Serious Mosquito Tick & Flea Solutions is equipped to serve a variety of businesses, including restaurants, corporate campuses, property management companies, and more.

  • Is there a natural treatment option?

Yes, we do have an all-natural treatment available for those customers who prefer to stay away from synthetic treatments. Made with a blend of essential oils, our product eliminates mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas on contact, then continues working as a repellent to help keep your yard protected all season long. Our eco-friendly treatments even leave behind a light, aromatherapy-like scent for everyone to enjoy.

  • How much does it cost?

New customers with properties up to 1/2 acre in size will receive their first treatment within 48 hours for just $50! From there, pricing will be dependent on various factors such as the amount of time/product used to treat the property, what months of the season will be covered, and any applicable discounts.
